A local not-for-profit organisation partnered with Progressional during a highly destabilising period of change involving significant structural shifts and the eventual removal of multiple roles across all varied functions and levels the business. The change unfolded over time rather than following a clear or linear path, increasing uncertainty and emotional strain for employees at all levels.
The evolving nature of the transformation required a partner who could respond quickly, adapt as circumstances shifted and support 80+ people through ambiguity and change. Progressional was engaged to work across the organisation, supporting frontline teams, the support office and the executive team, while helping individuals make sense of the change and its personal impact.
Progressional designed and delivered a flexible, human-centred support approach using its Navigating Adversity group workshop as the foundation.
Our work included:
- Practical and engaging sessions that created space for people to debrief the change and openly explore its impact
- Structured conversations that helped individuals understand the transition from both past and future perspectives
- Guided reflection to support sense-making and reduce confusion during periods of uncertainty
- Tools and frameworks that helped participants reframe challenge into more constructive, forward-focused mindsets
- Frameworks for each individual to develop a personalised action plan including both professional and personal elements to support them in navigating the change period
- Support delivered across frontline, support office and executive cohorts through tailored team development support, ensuring consistency of experience while recognising different needs
The approach was deliberately adaptable, allowing Progressional to respond to emerging issues as the change continued to take shape.
The program helped people gain clarity, reduce uncertainty and approach ongoing change with greater confidence and steadiness. Feedback highlighted strong engagement and impact, with 80 percent of participants rating the workshops highly, giving it a score of 8 out 10 or above. The results reflected the value of providing structured, practical support that helped individuals navigate ambiguity and move forward with greater assurance.
