An Australian-owned recruitment organisation partnered with Progressional to support one of its core functions operating in a highly competitive, performance-driven market. While the team demonstrated strong results and pace, leaders recognised an opportunity to deepen connection, improve collaboration and ensure performance was being sustained in a healthy and energising way.
The challenge was to help individuals better understand how they work at their best, while also improving how the team functioned collectively under pressure. The organisation was seeking a practical, evidence-based approach that moved beyond generic team building and created real insight into performance, energy and working relationships. Importantly it wanted a framework and assessments that both individuals and the team could reference over sustained working periods to track commitment to growth.
Progressional designed and delivered a strengths-based development experience focused on both individual insight and collective application.
Our work included:
- Completion of the Strengths Profile™ assessment for each team member to identify realised strengths, unrealised strengths, learned behaviours and areas of overuse
- In-depth one-to-one debriefs with accredited Progressional coaches, helping individuals understand what energises them, what depletes them and how their strengths show up in daily work
- Strengths mapping across the team to identify collective patterns, overlaps and gaps
- A highly interactive half-day workshop focused on leveraging individual and collective strengths in real work scenarios
- Exploration of how different strengths and working styles influence communication, decision-making and collaboration
- Practical discussions on how to better distribute work, manage pressure and build ways of working that play to the team’s collective strengths rather than relying on overused behaviours
The sessions were designed to be both reflective and practical, ensuring insights translated into action.
The team developed a shared language around strengths and performance, leading to deeper understanding and stronger connection. Collaboration improved, energy was better managed and leaders reported greater clarity in how to leverage strengths across the team, supporting sustained performance and ongoing growth.
