A national not-for-profit organisation partnered with Progressional during the most significant organisational transformation in its history. The change involved large-scale structural shifts that impacted teams across the organisation and required careful navigation to protect trust, morale and organisational reputation.
Leaders were tasked with communicating complex and emotionally charged decisions while continuing to deliver essential services. People and Culture needed a partner who could support leaders through the change, provide immediate and credible support to impacted employees, and deliver a consistent, human-centred experience at scale and to evolving timelines. The organisation was looking for an approach that balanced empathy with clarity, and structure with flexibility.
Progressional co-designed and delivered a tailored outplacement and advisory program aligned to the organisation’s values and change timeline. The program was delivered across three integrated phases:
- Leadership advisory support
Progressional worked closely with People and Culture to plan and sequence communications, develop leader toolkits and provide guidance on how to deliver messages clearly and empathically. This ensured consistency, reduced risk and helped leaders feel better prepared for difficult conversations. - Consultation support
Immediately following key announcements, Progressional coaches were available to support impacted team members. These sessions helped individuals process the change, understand their options and stabilise next steps using a clear and practical framework. - Career transition coaching
Impacted employees participated in a combination of group workshops and one-to-one coaching. The focus was on restoring confidence, clarifying strengths, defining personal brands and exploring new career directions in a supportive and practical way.
The program helped leaders navigate the transformation with greater confidence and consistency, while providing impacted employees with timely, personalised support. Participants reported increased clarity, renewed confidence and a stronger sense of direction, enabling the organisation to move forward with stability and integrity during a period of significant change.
